The rebrand marks a return to our roots. Exertis Enterprise is reintroducing the Hammer Distribution name to reaffirm our independence, clarify our market position, and celebrate our heritage as a specialist distributor. Following DCC Technology’s sale of Exertis UK to AURELIUS, our business was not part of that transaction. This provided the ideal opportunity to reassert who we are: a value-added, enterprise-focused distributor with a distinct identity.
It’s more than a name change — it’s about reinforcing what has always set Hammer apart: technical depth, personal service, and consultative expertise. The rebrand helps us stand out more clearly in the market and signals our continued growth ambitions in AI, cybersecurity, cloud, storage, and enterprise infrastructure.
Has your company changed significantly in structure, product, or market focus?
Our structure and ownership remain stable. We continue to operate as part of the DCC group, backed by the strength of a FTSE 100 parent. What has evolved since Hammer was last used are our portfolio, reach, and infrastructure:
So while the team, ethos, and values remain the same, our capabilities are now broader and better aligned to modern enterprise challenges.
Can you provide new brand guidelines?
Yes. The Hammer brand guidelines will be rolled out across all channels including logos, colours, fonts & taglines.
Will there be a new company name or website?
This rebrand is about our trading style and brand identity, not a change to the legal entity you contract with. Everything that matters to you — our products, services, agreements, and people — remains unchanged. You’ll continue to work with the same trusted teams, backed by the same strong vendor portfolio, with the only difference being our new Hammer Distribution name and branding.
Will our existing products or services be changed, discontinued, or replaced?
There will be no change to existing products or services currently offered by Exertis Enterprise
Are there new products or services being introduced as part of the rebrand?
At this stage there will be no additional products or services offered as part of this rebrand
Who is the new point of contact for our account or project?
All existing contacts will remain the same but you will see a change in e-mail addresses to ‘hammerdistribution.com’
Will there be changes to our ordering, invoicing, or billing processes?
There will be no changes to the ordering process with this still done through your existing account manager. Invoices will be received via ‘invoicing@hammerdistribution.com’ and the name of the invoicing company will be ‘Exertis Hammer Limited t/a Hammer Distribution’. All bank account details will remain the same under Exertis Hammer Limited and Exertis Enterprise NL BV
For Vendors, invoices will need to be sent to accountspayable@hammerdistribution.com but other contacts will remain the same. Any invoices sent to the old e-mail address will still be received and processed for the foreseeable future
How will the rebrand affect the availability of resources or vendor support?
The rebrand will not affect the resources or support you receive. All existing vendor partnerships, technical resources, and account contacts remain exactly the same. You will continue to work with the same dedicated teams who know your business and deliver the specialist expertise you rely on.
The only visible changes will be in branding — such as updated email addresses, website, and collateral — but the depth of vendor support and access to resources remains unchanged.
How long will old email addresses and domains continue to work?
All existing Exertis Enterprise email addresses will continue to redirect for the foreseeable future, ensuring no disruption to communication. However, we encourage you to update your records to the new @hammerdistribution.com domain as soon as possible.
Do I need to update my systems (ERP/finance/procurement) with new company details?
Yes, we recommend updating your internal systems to reflect our new trading style Exertis Hammer Limited t/a Hammer Distribution’. Our legal entity and bank details remain the same, so there is no risk to payments or invoicing.
Will warranties, RMAs, or service agreements be affected
No. All warranties, returns, and service agreements remain fully valid and unchanged. These commitments continue under the new Hammer Distribution brand without interruption.
We want to make this transition simple and transparent. That’s why we’ve phased the rollout, starting July 2025 and continuing through mid-2026, with old and new domains and materials running in parallel. You’ll be kept updated at every stage through direct communications, website updates, and social channels, ensuring there’s no disruption to your business.
How will we be kept informed of the new brand's implementation and any necessary updates?
We are committed to keeping all our customers, vendors, and partners fully informed throughout the transition. You will receive updates through:
Our priority is reassurance and clarity, so you’ll always know what’s changing (and what isn’t).
What is the plan for managing the transition of assets and information?
The rebrand is being carefully phased to ensure a smooth transition with no disruption to services. This includes:
All historical information, contracts, and account details remain intact, ensuring business continuity while we roll out the new identity.
Behind the refreshed brand, nothing changes to the legal entity you contract with. We continue to operate as Exertis Hammer Limited (UK) and Exertis Enterprise NL BV (Europe), now trading as Hammer Distribution.
We also remain part of DCC Plc, a FTSE 100 company. This means your agreements, warranties, and financial dealings remain fully valid, backed by the same solid foundations and financial strength.
Are you still part of Exertis?
No, we are no longer a subsidiary of Exertis (UK) Ltd and no longer have any connection with Exertis, other than retaining the formal legal entity name Exertis Hammer Limited in the UK. Our new trading style ‘Hammer Distribution’ emphasises our disengagement from the Exertis brand. We have also moved our legal registered company address to tie in with our principal UK trading location: Vision 27, Stewart Road, Basingstoke RG24 8NF
Are you still part of DCC?
Yes, we continue to be a member of the DCC group of companies. Our immediate holding company is Hammer Group Limited and our ultimate holding company is still DCC Plc, a FTSE 100 UK listed conglomerate based in Dublin, Ireland.
Does this change affect your company’s financial position?
No. Hammer Distribution continues to generate healthy profit, with turnover in excess of £300 million for the year ended 31 March 2025. Our own robust financial position continues to be backed up by strong support from our FTSE 100 listed parent company, DCC Plc.
